As part of our school's (quite sucky) Foundation Celebration, QCSHS has planned a Family Day celebration on Sept. 20, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. until the afternoon. This day is actually quite better than the September 17 Foundation Day, which was filled with classes and stuff. But enough about about that. Let's get on to business.
From 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m., there was a mass held on the covered court. I don't know the exact number of people that actually attended the mass, but I was sure of one thing: Every year level was scampering about, preparing for the next thing: The Field Demo. Here and there, first year students littered the building, the roads, everything. The other years stayed on their share of the roads.
And then we were called down, because the program was already starting. So there we were, sitting at the back of the covered court, where we should be. Booths were lined behind us, so some students (and watching parents) went to check out what's the fuss with the stuff on sale. I myself checked it out, but they turned out to be nothing much to write home about (although the booth with the junk food was really nice).
The demo for me was nothing to be excited. It was nice, the entrance, though (especially the Matrix thing by the bench boys). I actually made a few mistakes on the dance, but I caught up easily.
Many girls hurried on to the bathrooms to change clothes, and I was one of them. But I only changed my top, since it's required that we go wear green shirts. I still wore my sky blue jogging pants.
The Family Day celebration wasn't much of a fuss. Food, and then some little program. Some girls danced, some boys danced, and Tim and Grace performed with a song. There were quite a few set of games, all of which were boring. The best part was the awarding thing. I actually got a 'Best In English' ribbon. Shocking!
