Don't mind the ridiculously long title. It's this post that PROVES Captain Underpants isn't entirely as childish as it can be. In fact, anyone who would want an overdose of anything pre-shrunk and cottony would appreciate the misadventures this underwear-donning hero has. I never really expected myself to actually go nuts about such a book series, but here I am, saying these things, ranting and raving about what the series has to offer.
Books in the series start with a 'promotional comic' or 'the truth about Captain Underpants', introduced by the Captain Underpants comic book 'series'' alleged writers, Harold Hutchins and George Beard (who are non-existent and are living in the world Dav Pilkey has made). Dav Pilkey is a brilliant man, imagining what could be appropriate 'toilet humor' for those who want some.
Pilkey also made Super Diaper Baby, a companion for Captain Underpants.
